Have you heard Thomas Hampson sing "Roses of Picardy"? Moving, but not
in the least "soggy or sentimental" This was a live recital over here.

As a famous American writer once wrote of a character in her novel,
"He realised for the first time the difference between sentiment and
sentimentality.
