Dave and I part ways on this one.  I find the Violin Concerto a wonderful
work, and the other two (for clarinet and for flute) aren't far behind.
All three can be had at a very low price on one Naxos disc - not the
best performances on record but ample.  If I remember right, my favored
version of the Violin Concerto comes from Lin/Salonen on Sony coupled
with the Sibelius Violin Concerto.

I would appreciate it if Dave could tell us the recordings he has heard
of these works that leave him cold.
