Don Satz requested recommendations of Bruckner's 4th and 8th:

Bruckner 4- Celibidache (Munich) is a must and mainly drawfs the others
(especially the final coda). Other recommendations- Klemperer (Bavaria)
and Walter (Columbia- coupled with the 9th)

Bruckner 8- Horenstein (Live LPO) is outstanding a true sense of
achievment and respect for (in my opinion) one of the greatest symphonies
ever composed. Try also Barbirolli (Live Halle- on of JB last concerts)
for a different approach (less Germanic). Jochum- The 8th from the
Staatskapelle Dresden series is also impressive.
