After some emails with Naxos, I got the information to have a look into
the booklet where the following paragraph is situated: For the present
recording a reverse baroque position is used (i.e.  the second violins
are placed on the left, opposite the first violins on the right of the
ensemble.)

I have to point out that in this case Naxos was extraordinarily quick
to reply.
