No you are not alone.  I actually have enjoyed most of the Muti's that I
have picked up but I have usually only picked up the ones that have been
reccommended.

Here's a wild shot in the dark for the NYPO, how about offering the job to
Theodore Kuchar? He has a definite interest in American music as we have
seen with his recordings for Naxos and it could be seen as a post Cold-War
Olive Branch to our former enemies.

Of course Kuchar seems to be doing fine without the NYPO but it is a
thought.
