I was exaggerating really, playing devil's advocate.  Although I do
think Chopin was a greater composer than Schumann.  Schumann himself
said something on the lines of "my shoulder's may be broader, but his
(Chopin's) something runs deeper".  Unforunately I can't find the quote.

But then, to whom did Sibelius write "I do not measure up to your
bootlaces"? (Or words to that effect)
