Members of this list may be interested to know(I am sure that many do!)
that Galuppi is the subject of a poem by Robert Browning: A Tocatta of
Galuppi. It is not a gentle celebration of beautiful music, but an edgy,
ironic, sardonic, tragic reflection on mortality and the transient nature
of almost everything. Someone should set it to music. For all I know
someone has.
