The extraordinarily prolific Ellis Peters, of Brother Cadfael fame, wrote
an operatic whodunnit called Funeral of Figaro.  I must say I didn't
enjoy it as much as most of her work.

I am not suggesting that any of her works qualify as "art", so no one
need say she is just a craftsman.  I don't pretend to understand the
difference between narration and art, any more than I understand the
alleged difference between the artistic and the entertainment values in
music.

I just listen, and read.  Occasionally both at once.
