I second that!  Kubeliks Mahler 1 ist just outstanding!  Perfect!  But
Bersteins 1st movement of this symphony is something very special.  Ein
wahrhaftig leidenschaftliches Genuss, sozusagen!

I also think so.  Kubelik had a certain understanding for Mahler.  I
concluded my recent review with saying that in Kubeliks Mahler I hear
Mahler and I took Bernsteins Mahler I hear Bernstein.  A little exaggerated
perhaps, but still truth in it.
