read a book!!!  try playing stuff from the atonal composers...from the
avnate garde..  When I was burning out from playing mallets, I went and
played something that was completely off the wall.  It was something rather
serialistic..but it helped me discover new ideas and techniques that I had
not seen before playing the more traditional repitoure.  But I would try
the book idea first...or maybe do some arranging
