Robert Peters provided:

>I also met the profoundly honest Albrechtsberger. Tell my
>dear friend Roman that Albrechtsberger is one of the greatest
>counterpointists of our time - and besides that the most
>honest fugue soul in Gods world.
>
>Joseph Martin Kraus

Of course this quotation must be measured against the more famous
pronouncement from Albrechtsberger himself, who said regarding his young
student L. v. Beethoven, "He has learned nothing and will never be able
to do anything properly."
