I think it is important what the composer's aim is.  When he wants to
present sheer blackness, well, let it be sheer blackness.  I repeat:
in my opinion art is free, free to be beautiful and free to be "ugly".
My criteria is:  does the work of art reaches its aim.  Nothing else.
