In the Washington DC area, the Tower Records in DC is generally very good,
but I only buy items that are on sale, otherwise the prices are too high.
There are a couple of local stores that are pretty good also.

Since I buy a lot, most of my purchases are over the internet.  There are
some very good sites with quick delivery and good prices.  I shop around
and the most important criteria to me are price and the search engine.
