It isn't easy to explain.  My brother possesses a huge collection of
classical CDs and there was a period when he swore that Kempff's performance
of Beethoven's piano sonatas was the best.  I suppose that Goode's set
is one of the best overall digital sets available, and my brother not
being a musician but an avid listener attaches quite a lot of importance
to the technical aspect of a performance.
