Not live, it wasn't unobtrusive.  Thin, cracked, high (something like
Tiny Tim), wavering, and off-key.  Definitely noticeable.  But, once one
registered it, it didn't seem to matter and nobody threw eggs or walked
out or shouted "C'est un scandale!"
