The one and only Classical station in Jacksonville, FL recently performed
a similar shift in programming. The station now carries Minnesota Public
Radio programming during the day for music (instead of their old practice
of the DJ's playing from their recording library...). Fresh Air has
replaced Carl Haas, and mornings are still full of talk. I assume there
is a monetary reason for this less than desired shift in programming, but
I for one will not support it either.
