Hello, Ron, If you think about getting some "noise-reducing"
headphones, then the headphones that I have mentioned in my previous
message (Sennheiser HD 650, HD 600, HD595) are of the open type.  You
are not cut off of your surroundings.  The closed-back Sennheiser HD 25
headphones offer high attenuation of background noise.  Incidentally,
in my previous message, I should have written HD 590 and HD 595 and not
SD 590 and SD 595.
