Broadcast season information is up now on

   http://www.metopera.org/broadcast/radio.html

Season preview: Dec. 2; season opens Dec. 9, with "Rosenkavalier"*
(apparently the current NY-SF bicoastal run is not enough, certainly not to
me...:); premieres: "Doktor Faust" (Jan. 20) and "The Gambler" (March 31).

Five Verdi operas will be broadcast in the centenary year of his death (and
no "Giuseppe e Sylvia," thank goodness).

Intermission highlights: the quiz returns (Dec. 9), tributes to Hans Hotter
(Dec. 16) and Victoria de los Angeles (March 3), Texaco Quiz Kids (March
31), and from the Supremes, Ruth Bater Ginsburg (March 10).

* Here's the answer to a future quiz question: "Django, a Pomeranian." The
question: "Name the utterly charming dog in the 2000 SF production." [Is
this the right time for a chorus of "Get a life!"?]
