I still play occasioanally my Weingartner LPs of Beethoven 8 (plus last
movement of 9) and Beethoven 1. A great conductor leading a great orchestra
playing a great composer.  Very few frills or posturings.  I used to
have the full set of Brahms and liked them very well, too. They disappeared
somewhere along the line, probably during a move.
