I suppose claiming Chen Yi for Kansas City would be a little like claiming
Schoenberg for Los Angeles. She is professor of composition at the
University of Missouri - Kansas City - Conservatory of Music. She and her
husband, Zhou Long, maintain homes here and in New York.
