A baby which thinks the remote control device is some sort of parental toy
(which I suppose it is) and gets hold of it can wreak similar havoc with
the random play button, as we have discovered (fortunately on a rather
'bitty' CD of choral pieces where it didn't matter much).

We also have a mechanism for determining which track on a CD contains the
loudest noise (for setting volume levels).  We tried this on a CD I have of
bird songs and calls, but it simply picked on a bird which happened to be
very near the microphone when it was recorded.
