This was Leinsdorf's first recording as Music Director with the BSO, and
before RCA used "Dynagroove" to uglify the sound.  It was felt a good
choice for his first recording with the orchestra since the work had been
commissioned by Kousevitsky and received it's world premier by the BSO.  I
know some who feel it is the best sounding record Leinsdorf made with the
BSO.
