Matt Tracy is curious about Szymanowski on Naxos:

I would *not* recommend Szy. on Naxos. The thick orchestration requires
not only a good conductor but also a good recording. I highly recommend
Rattle for the "Stabat Mater," and "Symphony #3" on EMI, Dutoit for the
Violin Concerti on London, (compared to Rattle, Dutoit seems to hold the
concerti together more successfully), and *don't* forget the wonderful
Piano Concerti on Chandos.

Enjoy! Some of the most rewarding music I have listened to this side of
the 20th Century.

John Smyth
