If you go to www.csoresound.org and search a bit you will find an
excellent free video about the Miraculous Mandarin which places this
ballet in its historical context.  I enjoyed it greatly and would have
rated it with 5 stars had I had the opportunity.  Boulez leads the CSO
while two narrators give the plot and quote historically contemporary
sources.  Art of the period is shown also.
