Frederica von Stade has chosen 2010 to say farewell to her singing
career.  That year also marks the fortieth anniversary of her debut at
the Metropolitan Opera.  IMG is sending invitations to music organizations
around the world to notify the agency "of their interest." I sure hope
San Francisco Opera and Symphony are standing first in line.
