I agree with Ulvi that Decca over the years have provided Schiff with much
better sound than Ashkenazy.  This extends to their Mozart piano concerto
recordings.

I've wondered from time to time why Ashkenazy would abide the poor sound
from Decca.  Maybe he liked it, although I can't imagine how.
