Dear CM fans, I just bought the Philips 50 re-mastered selection of
Alfred Brendel playing the Beethoven piano sonatas Moonlight, Pathetique,
Appassionata, and Les Adieux. It was originally recorded on the mid 90's.
I must say that the sound quality is stupendous. Crystal-clear, powerful
bass, just great sound. I think the performances are likewise excellent.
It is interesting to hear these because I have played his Philips Duo
mid 70's recording to death.
