For people who love music the "human element" in performance is of
paramount importance.  Considering that some of us (not me) find even eg.
Brendel's [substitute your favorite unfavorite performer here] Beethoven
playing to be dull, I don't see any chance for MIDI performance to catch
up and become of anything other than educational value.
