I was startled to find an online outlet offering an apparently previously
unrecorded Copland work, "Billy the Kind". I wondered who this Billy
might be - an old-style grocer who gave credit, perhaps, or a tax assessor
with a conscience? Or maybe the work is really "Billy das Kind", aka
"Billy the Kid: The Early Years". Anyone familiar with this music?
