The New York Virtuosi Chamber Symphony
Announces the First Concert of its 2002-2003 Season

New York, NY - The New York Virtuosi Chamber Symphony and its Music
Director Kenneth Klein have announced details of its 2002-2003 season
opening concert.

Kenneth Klein and The Virtuosi will open their season on Tuesday,
November 12, 2002, 8 PM at Merkin Concert Hall at the Elaine Kaufman
Cultural Center with a program of Rossini's Overture to La Scala di Seta,
Saint Saens Carnival of the Animals, with pianists Gerald Robbins, Jose
Ramos Santana and narrator Martin Bookspan and Beethoven's Symphony No
7, op. 92 in A major.

Gerald Robbins and Jose Ramos Santana are two of the world's most
distinguished pianists. Mr. Robbins, a native of Los Angeles, has
distinguished himself internationally as a soloist having performed
throughout the world in virtually every major music center including New
York, London, Paris, Amsterdam, Bonn, Munich, Athens, Frankfurt, Belgrade,
Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tel-Aviv, Jerusalem, and Tokyo. Learn more
about him at http://lyricpianoquartet.com/html/robbins.html. Mr. Ramos
Santana has thrilled audiences with his solo recital appearances in the
United States, Latin America, and Europe performing with such orchestras
as the New York Philharmonic, the Royal Philharmonic, and the Baltimore,
Chicago and Detroit symphonies. A native of Puerto Rico, he appears
regularly in the Casals Festival there. Ramos-Santana brings a remarkable
thoughtfulness and precision to his performances, and is much loved by
his audiences for the brilliance and poetry of his interpretations.

Martin Bookspan has appeared as narrator with many of America's great
symphony orchestras. On radio and television he has been "The Voice of
the New York Philharmonic," as well as commentator for all "Live From
Lincoln Center" (PBS) and "Live From Studio 8H" (NBC) telecasts. He has
also served as host and commentator for radio broadcasts by the Boston
Symphony and the Boston Pops from Boston and Tanglewood. To audiences
across the United States the sound of Martin Bookspan's voice means
classical music. He is currently the announcer for "Guiding Light"
(CBS), the longest continuously running program in American broadcasting.
