That article put me in a favorable enough frame of mind to buy two CDs
of Ades' music.  When I played them I found the music, not boring, but
repellent.  Maybe I should reread Ross' article to see if he gave any
reasons other than personal response for his enthusiasm.  Can any
enthusiast here give any?
