There is an excellent recording by Thomas Hampson "To the Soul" singing the
poetry of Whitman set to music by numerous composers, including Americans
Kurt Weill (adopted), Ned Rorem, Charles Ives, Michael Tilson Thomas,
Leonard Bernstein and, yes, Philip Dalmas, your humble list subscriber's
uncle.
