I do use the shuffle button on the cd player now and then for two primary
purposes. First, I generally listen to a cd from the first track on but
often find that interruptions get in the way with the result that the
latter tracks go unlistened. Using the shuffle button, the chances are
even as to which tracks come first. My second use is that when I have a
few folks over the house, we often do some gambling as to which order the
tracks will play out. It's much more entertaining than going to a casino
with loud noises, none of them bearing any resemblance to a classical
composition.
