THE PASSION OF SCROOGE by Jon Deak to be performed at Emmanuel Church,
on Saturday, December 17th at 3pm.  Tickets now on sale, phone 617
480-5112 for an advance purchase discount.  Chosen in 2004 by the Boston
Globe as "Critics Pick" for this program, Firebird is pleased to announce
the return of SCROOGE, again featuring Aaron Engebreth-Baritone, whose
performances last year were met with great acclaim and conductor Chris
Younghoon Kim.

Firebird Ensemble is proud to acknowledge the assistance of the St.
Botolph Foundation in commissioning a new work from Boston composer,
and NEC faculty member, Lee Hyla.  The World premiere will take place
in Boston on May 9th, 2006 in Jordan Hall.  Three other very talented
young composers, Marcin Bela, Curtis Hughes and John Mallia will also
be presenting new works written for Firebird.  The concert will be
repeated in New York City.
