Marriner's recording certainly has stood the test of time, but I don't
like at all.  I find that Marriner is much better suited for light
material such as in his recordings of Mozart's Divertimenti and Serenades.

For what it's worth, that Marriner 2 cd set on Philips also has Bach's
Musical Offering which is a perfect coupling.
