A couple of days ago I heard pianist Neil Crossland performing a recital
at the Purcell Room (London). He has an outstanding technique, and an
(at times) almost violently muscular approach to playing, which may not
appeal to everyone, but which worked well in pieces such as an arrangement
of Mussorgsky's 'Night on a Bare Mountain' and the Liszt pieces he played.
His performance was very exciting, and I would highly recommend list
members to check him out. (He is represented by the same agent as my
wife, but I am not in any way financially involved with him!).

Best wishes,

Malcolm Galloway
