The sad truth of the matter in the classical music label industry is that
there is no attempt to standardize the listings or the format in which
information is dissemenated to the distributors (online or one-stop.) I
have spent 6 years in the distribution industry between pop and classical
music and it seems that when it comes to listing information on a one sheet
that there are a lot of labels that are not willing to take the time to
research what it is they are selling. I cannot tell you how many times we
get one sheets that will list the wrong composer for the piece that is on
the disc or wrong dates on the cd for the composers life span, and it goes
on and on.
