For me it's Nielsen.  Every few years I try listening to the symphonies
to see if the path to understanding is at last unfogged, but to no avail.
I just don't see the genius behind the music, although I know it's there.
I'm consoled, though, by the fact that Leonard Bernstein agreed with me.
He said, paraphrased, that the "rediscovery" of Nielsen in the '60s was,
he thought, a big mistake.
