Saw this in the newspaper yesterday.  I never had the opportunity to
hear her live.  Only on various recordings.  She was at the top of my
list for tone, control, expression and genuine musicianship.  When I am
practicing (I'm a lowly trumpet player) various arias, I alway check
with her for concept.

Another great one we were lucky to have had around and we were better
for it.
