In case anyone is interested personally to own a set, The Oxford
University Press has 'The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians'
(Second edition, 29-volume) on sale for $1,195.00.  This is the lowest
price I have seen; the list price is $4,850.00 By the way, I have no
monetary or any other kind of beneficial interest in OUP.
