But that's ok to gesticulate like an ...octopus, don't you think? How do you
know if someone thinks you look stupid up there? I'd say you're enjoying the
music and that's the way you physically show it. Did you see the fellow on
the Diamonbacks with the unconventional batting stance? Looks ridiculous but
hey he gets results! That's the way he bats. Change his stance and he'd no
doubt look wooden and forget about hits.

I think it's great to see a conductor responding to the music in any way.
Sometimes I wish I was a conductor rather than a listener.  Why should you
guys have all the fun up there? You're the ones who can gesticulate, run
up and around all over while you have people in their seats just (I bet)
chomping at the bit to move, move, move.  Nww that's tough.

Also, it's a killer to be in the audience during the last movement of the
Jupiter.  Anybody who wants to lose a few pounds should be up there at the
podium.  That's the place to be and nobody up there should worry about
lookin' funny.  Takes skill to get up there!
