As an experiment - there is no plausible anniversary date or other hook
- BBC Radio 3 is being cleared for a week and _every_ work by Beethoven
broadcast live. That means 135 numbered works plus, I presume, the 100
or so WoO as well.

<http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio3/> - the "Beethoven experience" links are
currently pointing to an archive page (?)

They will be made available for a week so anyone with broadband can
download them; I hope they _can_ be downloaded as discrete files and
not through fussing around with capturing streams.

Of course, not all the works are masterpieces, and Beethoven wrote quite
a few clunkers - but this is a remarkable idea!

Alastair
