New York's premier viol consort, Parthenia, will be appearing on WQXR
96.3 FM radio on Tuesday, December 16th at 4:30pm.

The show will be 30 minutes long and will include live performances
of early English Christmas music with guest soprano Julianne Baird from
Parthenia's touring program As It Fell on a Holie Eve, selections from
some of their other fine CDs and conversation with host Elliott Forrest.
WQXR personality Jeff Spurgeon will also be on hand. Listen to the
program online at http://www.wqxr.com/cgi-bin/iowa/air/listen/index.html.

Read a review of Parthenia's November 14 program of new music and
music of the Elizabethan Age at Corpus Christi Church in Manhattan
at EpochTimes.com.

See Parthenia's new When Music and Sweet Poetry Agree video on YouTube
at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3D-Eb-cY15Cqw. The ensemble will be
presenting this touring program across the United States in the next
two seasons.

Parthenia, which consists of Beverly Au, Lawrence Lipnik, Rosamund
Morley and Lisa Terry, has been hailed by the New Yorker as "one of the
brightest lights in New York's early-music scene," is a dynamic ensemble
exploring the extraordinary repertory for viols from Tudor England to
the court of Versailles and beyond. Known for its remarkable sense of
ensemble, Parthenia is presented in concerts across America, and produces
its own lively and distinguished concert series at Corpus Christi Church
in New York City, collaborating regularly with the world's foremost early
music specialists and has been featured on radio and television and in
prestigious festivals and series including Music Before 1800, Maverick
Concerts and the Regensburg Tage Alter Musik. Visit them at
