A friend of mine who was a friend of Don Erb told me that Don passed
away this morning around 2 AM.

Erb was born in 1927.  Slonimsky, writing in Bakers, stated "Thanks to
the engaging manner of Erb's music, even when ultradissonant, his works
safely traverse their premieres and endure through repeated performances."
