Compared with Marriner's 40 and 41, I prefer Giulini's 40 adn 41 by Decca
(I remember it is Decca if I am right). In his interpretation, you can not
only get balance, harmony and beauty which always belong to Mozart music,
also well-conducted feeling development. Jupiter is finished in Mozart's
worst time in his life, poverty, debt, sickness, death of families (his
children)... You can feel some shadow in this work but you still won't
hear any complaints (like what we can hear in some of Beethoven's works),
scream in the music.
