Big Bangs ran here in Australia a couple of months ago (why are British
series running in Australia before they get to the UK? Can we still blame
Thatcher?); & is a fine successor to Goodall's previous series, Organ Works
& Choral Works. At times, HG dost protest a bit too much on behalf of the
more extravagant indulgences of the classical tradition for more liking;
but otherwise: the usual formula of weird jokes (nothing to match Goodall
dancing the cucharacha in front of a mechanical organ in OW - but what
can?); real insight & stunning TV technique makes for a highly entertaining
& informative program....

All the best,
