Solo flutist Alison Young has just released a CD recording of music
from Argentina for flute and piano on the Albany records label: ...a
little tango in her blood.  The title comes from a review of her solo
recital in Buenos Aires' Teatro Colon in 1998.  Her interest in Argentinean
music took her to Argentina for a six-week artist-in-residence, a
seven-week tour of the United States and the culmination of her work with
this disc which includes works by Astor Piazzolla, Carlos Guastavino,
Alberto Ginastera, Horacio Salgan, arrangements by her and recording
premieres.
