I thought they were moving forward in history according to the birthdates
of the composers, or possibly they performedthe works in chronological
order.  Since they always featured soloists in the programmes, I didn't
expect "Tallis", but possibly the Sea Symphony.  And I was still hoping for
Sinfonia Antartica until I saw that Birtwistle is on on Saturday.  I hope
the VW program was good.
