I have to confess that I have long managed to avoid knowing what almost
every pop star looks like, by the simple expedient of avoiding popular
magazines.  True, I cannot avoid glancing at their covers at the supermarket
checkout stand, but this has taught me to recognize only Jennifer Aniston
and Angelina Jolie.
