>Berwald's Piano Concerto in D is performed by Marian Migdal with the Royal

I wonder what you find in the Violinconcerto. It is a work Berwald wrote
at my age, and I would say it was a mistake. Listen to how the strings
accompaignate the (Solo) Violin in the slow movement. I smile every time
I hear it.

I have the four symphonies on a double set Arte Nova with Jena
Philharmoniker/Montgomery. Anyone heard this set. What think?

His ideas were too wild for his contemporary audience and critic at least.
I think there might be interesting ideas, but IMO this doesn't help a
general impression of dull music coming out of the speakers.

Markewitch has done his symphonies? Fancy that! Did he do all of them? And
if not, which of them? Which orchestra?
